Youtube larger video player HD settings - no black bars

Youtube has altered the player settings to a 2:1 aspect ratio which means in the larger players you will see black bars either side.

This vid explains how you can fill the larger player when you render in Sony Vegas and maintain the HD settings and the difference between simply stretching a vid and cropping to fit.

1280x720 becomes 1280x640
1440x1080 becomes 1440x720
1920x1080 becomes 1920x960

Nice work Rich! Does this still stand up today. Also, is this better than putting the 'stretch and crop' codes, you can put under Tags in editing, that YouTube offers? I use Pinnacle software - boy do I wish you could make a tutorial on this using it.
