I really like this playing. That said, the 2:00 rubato really derails things for a while. It's like a silly music joke that everybody (orchestra and soloist) seems to continue thinking about, including at 3:20. It's too bad, it's a minor detail in the face of so many great things going on. It's nice to see them take him seriously again as he keeps playing. Great technique, vibrato, bow approach, overall musicality, awareness and concentration.
