@gunny426plymouth I'm all for american muscle, but I can respect quality japanese engineering. I might point out that there a 2 primary companies that use a horizontal displacement engine... Subaru and porsche, one legendary on le mans, the other legendary on the WRC. To call a VTEC crappy, sure, but i'll stand up for the boxer. Not to mention subaru engines are notorious for running forever. As long as it's good stuff, I don't care where it's from.

Did you have to modify some kind of motor mounts to hold the engine?
I have a Manx dune buggy i want to put a subaru engine not sure how much work is into.

@gixxer151
I made custom motor mounts for it that go in the stock Subaru mounting holes and attach them to the rear VW trans mount to stop the engine from tilting when on throttle.

Nice!
Do you have some pics of how you fab'd the exhaust with the turbo's?
I've just put a N/A EJ20 in my bug but am already thinking that it will go in the wife's and am sourcing a turbo suby engine for my bug and am curious where you put the turbo's....
cheers

exhaust isn't done yet but I did drive it with a muffler welded just behind the cat on the primary turbo and only a downpipe on the secondary (= noisy) . The plan is to go from both downpipes to 1 pipe that ends in a small muffler just behind the cam belt cover (not visible from the outside)

Hey bro who did your engine harness, are you running the ecu the engine came with or stand alone.

Did it myself using info I found online. Both wiring loom and ECU are stock ones that came from the same car.
