John Adams - Victoria's Historian and Storyteller

BCIT BROADCAST JOURNALISM FEATURE DOC

As a Final Project for our TV News class, a group of 4 of us had to find someone of interest and do a video documentary on them. The requirements included having a piece of work that would be visually appealing and interesting to our viewers.

So we took an outside the box approach and did a piece on a Ghost Storyteller who gives Tours around some of Victoria's most haunted places. We tried to portray a dark and unsettling feeling throughout, so take a look and decide for yourself. Hope you enjoy.

@tucsondog indeed he is, I was in Victoria last weekend for a short little vacation and when on the very same tour that is shown in the video here..... Would love to go on more tours with him (especally around Halloween) but don't live on the Island... lol

John gives a great tour, is very professional and informative. Great video captures John and the nature of the 'Ghostly Walks' tour very well.

I was recently in Victoria and had the pleasure of going on one of John Adams walking tours.

I would highly recommend it - the stories gave me a great sense of the history of the city. Even though I am a bit of a skeptic when it comes to ghosts, Mr Adams has a special way of telling a tale.

he did say he knows something is there, he's just not 100% on the label "ghosts" i think.

Very cool video. As one of John's other guides, I have to say you captured him very well. I always find it funny that he still reserves judgment about ghosts, considering he works with so many of us who firmly do believe in them!

Excellent editing, I love how you captured the spooky feel of Helmikin Alley. Creepy place that, even in the daytime.
