I agree with you. Yusuf (or even as Cat) has never had the most intricate imagery ever, he's been about getting a million stories across with the words 'sad' and 'bad' and 'glad'. Leave the wordplay to Paul Simon.

the lyrics are not great! but i don't think they were ment to be? he gets the message acrosss with the help of a great piece of music! rhyming bad and sad, flood and blood isn't the best use of the english language but the song doen't lose anything by it! infact i think it makes it more anthemic as the lyrics are easyer to remember?
