I love putting bands into various subgenres. Black, Death, Progressive, Thrash, Symphonic Black, Melodic Death, Metalcore, Deathcore, Doom, whatever...
But this band... I just can't pinpoint them to any specific subgenre. O_o

This band has aspects of metalcore, of course. Just look at the breakdowns. But they also don't have the things I don't like about metalcore. They haven't adopted the whole metalcore-scene culture that many metalcore bands have. They're screams are nowhere near as deep. They integrate high-pitched screams, which I've never heard in a metalcore song. Not to mention they don't abuse the breakdown/screaming in the fashion metalcore bands do, where you have a song that is 90% breakdown.

@hamityham But you won't hear a Clean voice chorus or verse, as many Metalcore bands usually have.
