Their joint answering of "Yep!" can never be mistaken - you know you're hearing that from the one and only Andrews Sisters.

I wonder why Maxene was making funny facial expressions?

If any person, regardless of race have the desire to speak better English, without so much slang, they need only watch videos of "What's My Line"...IMHO

They even speak in unison -- LOL!!!

the only song that i liked was boogie woogie bugle boy.

The girls looked better here than in the forties. The softer styles flattered them.

@marcyhead I've always felt it was a pity more people could not see the Andrews in person. They were VERY famous in show business for the ACTION of their act--the fabulous gowns, the intricate choreography, Patty as the humorist. Even from the beginning they believed in action on the stage while other singers just stood at the microphone. You get a taste of what they did in their films but just a taste. They always got fabulous
reviews at clubs and theatres and always packed the house.

Laverne was always self-conscious about her looks, which she felt were too strong and ethnic. But as she grew older her features in fact softened and by middle-age she was lovely. She did have a bit of work done on her nose and chin, but nothing drastic. She was year after year on the Hollywood's "Best Dressed" list. Patty was the lead because the girls wanted an identifiable sound for their records, but Laverne and Maxene also had lead voices, though Patty had a special bell-like quality.
I love The Andrews Sisters always have always will
