@deadmonkey886 - i would say it has a lot of 'thrash lines' (umm...listen to the last 40 or so fan-tas-tic and glo-ri-ous seconds...) which were popularized by Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer & Anthrax - their riffs sound most (of the 4) like Metallica - it DOES NOT cheapen A7X in any way shape or form, but you can hear some Kirk & James in there...

@SeizeTheDayfoREVer I would also say A LOT of Iron Maiden influence - the topics, the darkness, the dueling solos - personally, it's Metallica & Maiden combined into the best 21st century metal band...and possibly the best of all time.
