Yeah, after I conquered my fear of the movie (I was stupid enough to drag my parents to go see it back in '73, I was only 5 then) I checked out a lot the featurette materials on the DVD's. To answer your question, Linda Blair was the girl who was possessed by the demon. She did a great job of it. Sadly, her movie career beyond that is less than stellar. Yes, I saw Emily Rose too. That was a good movie. Didn't send any major chills up my spine, but the story was really good. :)

Wow! You sure seem to know a lot about the film! If you're a big fan something, then it's only natural that you would want to read a lot into it , and want to have a lot of knowledge on something you really enjoy. :)
I probably know less about it than you do.
The Exorcist isn't really my absolute favourite film, though it's just 1 of the films I have enjoyed watching.

There was a spoof that actually starred Linda Blair called "Repossessed". It was her way of making fun of the role of Regan...kind of her way of getting back at the character that gave her nightmares early in her career.
There was also a cheap Italian knockoff of The Exorcist called "Beyond the Door"...chilling, but cheap.

Wow! I never knew there were five of them!
I'm surprised, I think. :)
I've only seen the 2 I mentioned previously.
But also, there's another one which came to mind too. I'm not sure if it's one of those you have mentioned already, but I now remember there was also a spoof of the film too, which is quite comedy like I think. Can't remember when it was made though. Was quite a while back now I think. Again... different actors and directors than the original version.

There were five Exorcist films made, actually, and two of those are the same general story shot by different directors.
The Exorcist (1973), Exorcist II: The Heretic (1977), Exorcist III (1989), Exorcist the Beginning and Dominion: A Prequel to the Exorcist (2005).
The two most recent movies are the same general story shot by different directors. Only one of those films made it into theatrical release...the other was not even completed in post production before the director was fired.

Ahh yes. "The Exorcist." I see it now.
That was obviously what the clip was a tribute to.
I don't know why I didn't see it before. *blush*
I've seen the film in the past, about 3 or 4 times I think. The first time I watched it, I was a bit freaked out by the girl in the bed scene when she got possessed by a dead relative and made her bed go up and down. It was quite scary really.
But it's a very good film. It's well made and very creative too. :)

I think there's another one after at that film.
I think it's called The Exorcist, the beginning, or something like that. I've only seen it once though. Have you heard of it?
