1982 Nebraska vs Oklahoma "Bounce Rooskie"

One of the most under rated plays in NU history. The "Bounce Rooskie" Turner Gill throws a backwards pass that bounces about 10 yards before reaching Irving Fryar. Fryar then casually picks up the perfectly bounced pass and throws it downfield to Mitch Krenk. Two plays later Doug Wilkening punches it in for the score.

Nebraska did indeed find out how tough the Big Ten is.....Their very first game in Big Ten country was a total ass kicking.....Wisconsin beat the tar out of them.....They will continue to learn how hard it is to compete with the likes of Michigan.....Wisconsin.....Ohi­o St. etc....

top 4 in their first year in with a Big12 built defense, hmm wonder whats gonna happen once we get B10 ready players. I fail to see that see the B10 was really that tough. We got trashed 2 games, true, and we lost a game we shouldnt have, but we always do that! i.e. Iowa St '09. Once we settle in, I have a hard believing that it wont be Mu or Nu every year in the B10 title game.

Why would the Big 10 regret adding Nebraska? The whole point was to add a competitive team to bring new excitement to the conference. If the point of Big 10 expansion had been to find a crappy team to beat up on, they would have added New Mexico State or whatever.
