System Test 2

This video is the same as system test 1 (Simplex 4251-20 pull, Firelite MS-5024 panel) with the exception of my signal, which is my Simplex 2901-9833 horn attached to my 2903 light plate. Signal coding is march time. Also, I've mounted a light through one of the knockouts on top of my panel that turns off when there is an alarm activated through one of the two programmable relays just for fun. Also, the trouble indicator is on because I'm powering the panel off of a 24 VDC power supply (like batteries). For some reason, if I power it off of the transformer on board, it distorts the sound coming from the NAC's. Anyway, with that said, enjoy.

The reason it sounds distorted is because it provides FWR to the nacs instead of DC.

;) The reasons why FWR power supplies exist, IMO, is that a) the company wants you to buy an add-on power supply or b) simpler, smaller, cheaper circuit board.

I have the exact same pull station u have exept my fire alarms are wheelock.

I even say it in my video.
