  • Nice review... Is it possible to replace the battery on the chest strap? Thanks!

  • @skanshackur6 yes it is. Has a big screw just like the watch, so easy peasy.

  • what a nice review.. thanks so much. Think i'm gonna get this for my christmas :)

  • @Jamaicangurl81 sweet! thanks man, goodluck with it! My cardio season starts again in March so ill be strapped up and ready to go by then :)

  • so you have to wear a belt device for it to track HR, I don't like that, do you know of any watch that track HR with only wearing a watch by itself? ! thanks

  • @asbani911 most devices work this way these days. Its just more accurate.

But there are def watches that work without the belt. Just check out the Polar website

Some people swear by 'fasted' fat burning cardio (upon waking). The theory is that your body has used the majority of stored glycogen through the night (assuming you didn't carb up before sleeping) and if you immediately exercise upon waking you start burning/oxidizing fat stores almost immediately as you're in a glycogen depleted state.

The hard science studies show this as not true, but many fitness models and bodybuilders swear by it.

  • @mrLucio100

    Sure.

Fat burning is supposedly done with a lower heart-rate and oxidizes more body-fat for energy (think fast walking pace to a slow jog depending on how fit you are, done for 40min+).

Fitness training is done at a higher heart-rate (60-80%+) and really burns through your bodies supply of energy/glycogen/glucose/carbs. Pushing your heart like this is what increases your threshold and lowers your resting heart rate.

  • Are you Dutch?

  • Hi there... Could anyone please tell me the difference between fat burning and fitness modes? I thought they were one and the same thing? I thought elevating your bpm to any safe level was both fat burning and good for increased fitness. Any advice would be appreciated. Great video btw. Thumbs up!

  • Nice review!
