Just want to say that you helped me learn this so I can teach it to my 7th grader who just "didn't get it". Now that I understand it, I was able to help him. I agree with the other comments out here. I'm confused about the step where you subtracted 3x from each side instead of 2x from each side, because if you proceed to subtract 2x then arent you left with an answer that is x is less than -31? I just wanted to know if there was a rule that made you decide to subtract 3x instead of 2x.

you!, yes you! are a life saver. I have my math final tomorrow and this has been one of the parts i have been having the most trouble with, mostly deciding when to add or subtract or multiply or divide. i think i may have finally got that now. i will be taking my SAT's in a few months and you can be sure i am gonna use your videos along side my study books.
