Diving with Deep Ecology at Shark's Cove on the North Shore of Oahu on June 14, 2010.

There was a fair amount of surge which kicked up particulate in the water, reduced visibility, and generally made holding the camera steady a real challenge. But it was still a fun dive with some great people!

Almost all of the wide shots are with the GoPro HD in a self-modified housing to fix the focus issue. Close up shots are from a Sony HDV camera.

  • I too would like to know what light was used during one of those shots. What wattage was the light etc. Thanks! Great job!

  • Awesome! Nicely filmed, nicely edited and good choice of music!

  • The video is very cool. Can you tell me if you used any lighting, if so what did you use? I just posted my first GoPro Video, and the next one will have the flat lens. Thank You

  • how did you self modify the housing? is it still the one it comes in?

  • Inspiring video. Very nice!!

  • Great underwater videography! I really enjoyed watching this video. I especially liked the closeup segment of the moray eel and the colorful flat worms.
