@DeHerg She started researching in the Priest's apartment, and later she told Korben that she had gotten to V. But it wasn't just a dictionary, the Priest said she was learning human history of the last 5,000 years, 2786 BCE to 2214 CE.

@SethBlizzard as I said, I assumed she went through that dictionary/lexicon alphabetically. But since we are not told in the movie(only that this is part of her language training) this is just an assumption.

@hatemf23 oh yeah i know exactly what you mean...but if there is gonna be a WW3 it is pretty much gonna be over oil...the world is gonna have 2 evolve & it needs change...sure its gonna require hardships but we need 2 learn 2 be self reliant, INDEPENDENT!! from the poison fossil fuels.....& threw his history we see change comes from war...

This scene really illustrates just how awful war is. You can glorify it, support those who contribute to it and such but eventually, if humanity doesn't want to blow itself up, people are going to have to mature (and evolve), throw down all of the weapons, forget about such crap as "honor" and "army strong" and just STOP FIGHTING
