Amira 's a good teacher to learn fundamentals and technique. What i don't like is that she strips down to barely nothing for some performances, which isn't practical for floor work and looks stripperish. then the focus is more on her naked than her skills as a dancer.

@iTzSHAKiKi ..I had to deal with her for a very long time..and believe me..what you see is a show she puts on..always putting on a show..it is always about Amira and Amira only...all the fund raising shows she does is not to raise awareness for that particular thing but for self promotion!! You could never possible know her how I do..and thats how I know!

Students that want to perform have to buy her costumes so we all match & don't look like slobs...Her DVDs are life savers! Students who do not perform are never required to buy costumes or Dvds...I'm her student THANK GOODNESS.... Her daughter also teaches & SHE is fabulous...Sorry you feel the way you do..your loss :)

I am quite impressed by her artistry. She is gergious just standing there. I am also a dance teacher so that I understand that It is a very hard work to maintain oneself as a world-class performer like Amira as well as a great teacher for many and various students in the Big Apple. In addition, she is to taking care of finance to produce fantastic shows and still remembers her personal life. So whatever were said about her or happened in the past probably were simply some misunderstanding.
