@vaereon People get so upset about Black Metal though is because the original Black Metal movement had more to do with their view that christianity destroyed their country. They had a strong stance that the ancient nordic man was perfect and that christianity destroyed their country and culture and the music was a representation of the sheer terror they wished to invoke over. Brooklyn and Cascadian black metal are very much all about the music, but Varg was not. Either way I love it all!

Why do people INSIST on labeling music? Do you like it? Great! No? Oh well. Get over yourselves, music genres have been blurred by constantly being mixed with each other and therefore some music is just MUSIC and impossible to label.

@lurkerofvalis I don't think they are missing that at all. What they are missing for sure is the intentional lo-fi quality that so many bm bands seem to think that augments their music somehow when it actually degrades it.
