@smidjepeter I myself work in copper, which though a good bit more fiddly, has produced some wonderful athames. I sell them, doing quite well at it, but always request my buyers to bring me another piece of metal. Something recycled that I can let speak to me when the time comes. (And to those reading, it's not religious. Ask any smith and they'll tell you that the metal "speaks" to us.

Great work and a wonderfully instructive video. No words needed - your hands and skill with hot steel do all the talking required. Thanks for uploading it.

Just about the coolest thing I've seen all day
what school did you go to?
fourpointohh 6 months ago
@fourpointohh I never went to school for forging.
I did learn welding, turning, milling and sheet metal processing in school.
Forging from study and books and especially Closely what metal does when you create and edit hot hitting with the hammer.
Now you can learn a lot on Youtube and the internet.

MrFlaujac 1 year ago
@MrFlaujac An athame is normally only used for ritual purposes, magic, to lead power. It is a ceremony knife .
