  • Dear all:

The video is from the bus Augsburg-Füssen, the precise place is the town Ilgen near Staltannen, and you pass the church Wieskirche. The road is No. 17.

    GENAU! Precisely!

  • Dear all - NOTICE:

39 seconds into the video you can see the train passing a church. and here is a yellow road sign showing Augsburg and Füssen - so we are in Germany.

The tempo in the cantata is a pastoral rythm, 12/8, and it does not make any sense to make it slower. Herreweghe makes the tempo absolutely correct when the melodic line and the singing are in a perfect slow and harmonic fugue.

  • This looks like the train ride to Füssen through the Ostallgäu, not the outskirts of Prag....

  • The peace that Bach brings.

  • The peace that Bach brings.

  • Großartiger Counter..!!

  • Bach's music is the way that God communicates with man. Greetings to all from Mexico.

  • @protestant7 . Ce n'est pas les environs de Prague mais le sud de la bavière.

  • Wonderful video...

  • Thanks a lot for the lyrics, Marc. I had never heard this beautiful piece. (Of course, who can know the entire Bach?) Thank you for posting it. I will listen to it many times.
