The Hippocratic Oath, a semi-finalist in the 2006 Film Your Issue Competition, is a 60-second film about the issue of child and human rights abuses in the modern psychiatric system. It focuses on the story of one child who was forced to bathe in a shower contaminated with human feces.

i learnt all about the oath in school.

Within any system there are abuses, look at Walter Reed. It is dishonest to condemn an entire profession based on the few abuses of the system.

To act as if psychiatry is not an established field of medical science that require graduate and post-graduate training is absurd. Almost as absurd as an actor claiming that their is no such thing as a "chemical inbalance" in the body and shows a complete ignorance of physiology.

The new world order condones cruelty towards vulnerable individuals. It is wrong but they prey on this struff. There is no justice in this world!!!

should it be stopped? in its current form as front line treatment for mental illness it should be stopped and relegated to a second line treatment for patients who do not respond to alternative therapies. but then psychology would be the front line authority on mental illness, and we can't have that, even if it saves millions of lives! why? politics and politics = power + money.

why, fraud. the only medically based solution to mental illness is psychiatry, but they have to treat illnesses without a pathology, and so they cannot cure.

instead they stop the symptoms by stopping a patient's brain with brain damaging therapies, which results in millions being maimed or killed.

I think this is an important message that needs more attention, try to give more info on whats gone on that's wrong or abusive, it's likely to get more veiws that way.
