Robotech: The Sentinels - Hail and Farewell, SDF-3

In celebration of the re-release of a digitally remastered and re-cut ROBOTECH: THE SENTINELS feature film on DVD, i made a comic video that continues the story of ROBOTECH: THE SENTINELS right up to the launch of the SDF-3.

Yes there is hardly any action, but ROBOTECH has never been just about mecha and battles. There is drama and even comedy too.

Like my previous comic video, i tried to time the panels to a moderate speed reading of the dialogue.

Pictures are from the now out-of-print Robotech The Sentinels comic by the Waltrip brothers, published by Eternity comics.

Music is from the Robotech 20th anniversary soundtrack.

Please pardon the Sentinels prologue footage. For some reason, my movie maker stretched it to 16x9 widescreen when it is originally 4x3.

Well, thats cos its not finished. It pretty much ends on a cliffhanger. But there's a new animated movie coming out soon (the trailer has been shown around conventions)

i have most of the early sentinel comics and the music really makes it come alive. feels more canon than shadow chroicles!

It was always my personal opinion that the Sentinel comics should be set as cannon for this portion of RT and not the novels. I know its hard to do this and it takes a lot of time but it'll be the best way for some to understand the transition fron RT to the sentinels to the shadow chronicles. Good luck.

Now to sound like a downer, but I've given up on this series really. I don't think I'm ever going to be able to fully finish it unless someone gets me the DVDs or something.
