  • Probably my favorite of Tatum's group works (along with Hallelujah with Lionel Hampton). Tatum and DeFranco work very well together - two absolute masters of their instruments. I love Tatum (consider him the greatest jazz pianist of all time), but his strength was definitely as a soloist (in my mind Oscar Peterson worked far better than Tatum in groups.) That said, this is one of my favorite Tatum recordings.

  • sounds wonderful ,music never dies......

  • Beautiful!

  • does anyone have the tuba version of this song its on the red callender speaks low album

  • I dunno, Woody Herman was certainly up there too...

  • Quelle an?

  • Buddy DeFranco : the greatest clarinet player ever!
