i kinda don't see why there'd have to be a 30sec countdown for fm200 if it's safe. I do ssee it for a halon system because you wouldn't want to be in there then that halon crap goes off (unless you wanted to get halon poisoning..........that's gruesome even thinking about that)

I choose FM200,of course! But,the 1st world's most clean fire agent is the Novec1230.FM200 is 2nd,because it is a little toxic for people, and it does not cool the fire, beacuse it's a gas.Novec1230 is a fluid,as effective as water, but it evaporates as quickly as liquid nitrogen,in contact with air (not as cold). The gas obtained is not at all toxic. The fluid either.

I have installed these for five years. It is safe to be in the room if the system goes off. It does not affect oxygen levels in the room. It chemically cools the fire causing it to go out. The only danger would be the gases being given off by the fire. This is one of the biggest myths about FM200, Halon and other clean agents. The only gas that will kill you is CO2. As long as the room is sealed well the agent should stay concentrated enough to stop re-ignition until the Fire Dept. arrive

if you listen to the video closely @ 1:35 he's talking about the water sprinkler system, not the FM-200 system. once the FM-200 system discharges, the fire cannot re-active. the only way the system can discharge again is if there's a main/reserve system, which contains 2 cylinders of the FM-200 gas... but it shouldn't have to discharge again because the gas prevents the fire from re-igniting.
