Good we've finally got this cleared up. People jump to conclusions when they see something they immediately can't explain

Honestly :P iv seen lights in the sky i cant explain, either way i dont claim to have seen a alien space craft, and you know why? because i need the proper evidence before i can make such a claim. You have the evidence right in front of you guys! If aliens are visiting us, its not shown in this clip, sorry ;)

I don't claim to know what it was and rightly don't give a fark. U all should quit acting like u do know though. Hard to discount 10000 peeps across the whole state though whatever it was

I BELIEVE FLARES 100%!!!

This certified sighting was never certified by MUFON or any other investigating agency. There is no video which shows this earlier object with a correlating time stamp.

plus that day they alerted the airforce , the military saw 2 bright objects flying around the base they took off with 2 f16 and started to chase the lights but the lights disappeared in seconds

ohh nooo what he say in the video i read this somewhere this stuff with flares is completly bullshit god damn it dont try to explaim the unexplanable there was no fucking flares

@Symphonitron i actualy saw this one, and i know they were not flares. because they were not moving at all they appeared, and vanished. Plus i think we would have heard the plane that dropped the flares, but idk nothing about AF planes so dont take me as fact on that ya know. the flickering of the light has been messn with me to. i think it needs more invetigating because the lights were there like 15 mins so another fact to debunk the flares, and its happened more than once

@nixter1nixter1 Thanks, yes I found all that. So obviously not all the lights were flares. The whole affair is just so fishy... There were many witnesses who saw lights flying before and after the Phoenix flyover, so those were not flares. But why did the military, on the same night of the big sighting, send up flares? At first I thought "smokescreen" and "deniability" but wait a minute, they originally denied flares for several days. Why would they deny their own smokescreen? Fishy.

The best book on the UFO topic just came out by author Leslie Kean. I am a skeptic, but I'm open-minded and have been on the fence on the notion of "extraterrestrial" visitation my whole life. This book is the ONLY book to push me over the edge, and not because she was trying to convince anyone of extraterrestrials. She's just removing the smokescreen. Look it up on Amazon and buy it: "UFOs: Generals, Pilots, and Government Officials Go on the Record" by Leslie Kean.

@nixter1nixter1 Thanks ... Yeah I'm beginning to see the problem that people are talking about here. There is an EXCELLENT book that I picked up a few weeks ago by Leslie Kean called "UFOs: Generals, Pilots, and Government Officials Go on the Record." There is a chapter on the Phoenix Lights which places more context on this particular video. Now I'm wondering: why would the military launch flares in a formation that sort of looks (on video at least) like the sighting, right after the sighting?
The real "Phoenix Lights" are the object that overflew Phoenix at around 8:30PM-9:00PM. This video was taken at around 10-10:30PM, and I'm convinced they ARE flares. But they are not the Phoenix Lights. I wish the news media would stop playing this explained video every time they do a spot about the Phoenix Lights.

Amen, why focus on the later very questionable sighting, when there was a certified genuine mass sighting earlier? I do not understand the reasoning, people wrongly believe the flares were the same thing seen earlier.

I'm confused then, what was seen earlier? I've seen many documentaries on the Phoenix Lights and they all look like the same flare formations to me. I haven't seen any videos that look strikingly different from this. The fact that the lights wink on and wink off sequentially is a tell-tale sign of flares, and the fact that they appear to be moving horizontally is an illusion caused by the fact that they are much further away than you think, and slowly falling.

@Symphonitron You have to do some Google searching and some reading to see that the earlier gigantic sighting of a V shaped craft overflew heavily populated ares. Many witnesses saw the first craft quite clearly, it was easily seen to be solid with lights. The later sighting around ten thirty was just lights.
