A moustached Darren Berrecloth shows us that finding the perfect zone in Utah takes almost as much commitment as riding its lines.

  • echoing Chases's comments below... Encouraging searching out and destroying fragile Utah desert landscapes is totally irresponsible. Besides the damage that may never repair itself, such behavior leads to closure of public lands to others who don't need to destroy the landscape to get their jollies (or to sell themselves or bikes).

  • @monkeyspuge @chasemcchillin You both express valid concerns. Please know that the filmmaker secured proper permits from land managers in advance to ride and shoot in the area.

  • Ahhh man I can totally see Utah is the boy, seriously having seen this I'm totally going to plan my next summer around this. I love driving holidays, this looks perfect, I mean three weeks of scoping trails without the need to every really take any trail seriously enough to get the bike out of the car. But hey at least it WILL be worth it, after a month or so I'll maybe cook some bacon and get the urge to actually get on my bike, might even get my mates along in week 6 if I find a sweet line ;p

  • @MartFish Hey, that's sarcasm! We'd know that anywhere...

  • whats the music at the end?

  • @VUDOpictures check the video description.

  • @monkeyspuge hippie. just ride man, quit bitchin

  • @monkeyspuge Remember the house you were typing this on was made from cut down forests and other things... And this guy is just riding through small sections of land and no means destroying or altering it... Just sayin

  • Guys come on, the land scape and nature wil be ok. He is riding on a small patch of the land and shows no means of destroying it, a few spots of moved dirt is all. Chill out

  • what bike is he riding?

  • @ThisIsTheDr Of course I'm jel, he's got enough free time and cash that he can spend over a month just driving around in a truck with a set of binoculars eyeing up trails rather than cramming in a years worth of pent desire for a biking holiday in to two weeks if I'm lucky... :) And of course I couldn't ride anything like that, have you not looked at my videos...

  • @specialized411 :) that's exactly what I thought when I saw this video 1:49 is my favourite bit, two weeks in, he's found something that looks fun, but no best not to ride it when there's more trucking to be done, Utah Utah Utah, love the drive :)

  • What an unsustainable way to ride. Imagine the eyesores and erosion created if hundreds of other riders were to scour the fragile desert in the same way—any such impact on desert soil lasts decades. Don't get me wrong, I love riding my mountain bike, but there are more sustainable ways to do it that don't leave torn up landscapes. I ride Specialized now, but I'll reconsider next time I buy a bike if they are putting their name on stuff like this.

  • At 2:40 he has excellent cap! Does anyone know where to get one?
