Spent the last hour wasting time doing seraches of my favorite bands from each decade. In the mid 90s I was living in Sacramento. It was one of my last night's in town and I went to smoke a cigar at a jazz lounge called Harlows. These guys were playing and I immediately fell in love with the sound. Bought the 2 albums but the song that stuck with me the most was the final song they played that night -- would love to hear it again - it was polka. Get back together...the world needs you!
The first time I saw them was the exact same place you mentioned, as well, UT Ballroom 1996. So I was right there with you. Great music ... I still listen to their CD a lot. They sound even better live.
I first heard 8 1/s Souvenirs at one of their shows at the University of Texas Ballroom near the Cactus Cafe/Student Union off of the Drag (Guadalupe St.) back in 1996. Then went to see them in Luckenbach, TX at one of Willie Nelson's Fourth of July concerts. I haven't heard much about them since I left Austin. I anybody has any video/audio of them please post. They are such a talented group.

I didn't think anyone else heard of 8 1/2 Souvenirs. I've two of their CDs. I don't know how many they have. Good pumpkin choreographing too!
