@eondarkstar Sure, you can send me a message through my channel . I love talking about the Clark/Lex tragedy.

@hypnosegirl16 Feel like taking this conversation to a more easily discussed and less public venue?
-
@hypnosegirl16 And even when Martha saw a good side in him, when he was willing to die to save her life and protect and provide for Clark he was still so judgmental, 'Lionel never does anything that doesn't benefit him in the end', what benefit does he get out of being dead? All of his whining and complaining it is a wonder when someone didn't feel like ever putting on Lex's ring and sucker punching Clark themselves.
-
@hypnosegirl16 They did the same thing with Lionel too, they were so angry with him they wouldn't have cared if he had died anyways and they hadn't suffered a fraction by him as Lex had because Lionel thought that Lex had killed his infant brother and when Clark was affected by kryptonite he attacked his adoptive father who he considered to be his 'real' father though not his true father, but of course he was touched by a rock so he is totally forgiven but a lifetime of abuse no.
-
@hypnosegirl16 Yea but when Clark did the same, of course it was all smoothed over by everyone else, never his fault it's the kryptonite which shatters his mind, but when someones family is slaughtered or suffered a lifetime of abuse then it is different and when they repent and change there is total skepticism and of course, I was bugged how his adoptive parents made him distrustful of his birth parents and his heritage of where he came from because they didn't want to share him.

@eondarkstar I think that the final straw for Clark was Lex pushing Lionel out the window. I think Clark should have confided in Lex from the beginning. In every situation where Lex found out, he kept Clark's secret hidden. Still, even though he tried to kill Clark in the Fortress in season 7, he didn't tell anybody else. I think he more than proved he could be trusted in that aspect b/c he loved Clark. They were best friends which makes it all the more tragic.

@hypnosegirl16 I think he played like a final straw in breaking Lex there, after all the lying Lex had him there hand in the cookie jar dead to rights no talking his way out of the fortress when he had seen it, earlier on Lex yea had really only been doing the same Clark was doing, he was looking in to things he knew weren't as they appeared just like Clark was but Clark felt that he was above anyone being allowed to do that to him, even like how he tried to do with other heroes.
-
@eondarkstar I wasn't always Clark's biggest fan because of his hypocritical tendencies. He should be the last person to accuse anyone of lying. Trust is something that is shared on a two-way street. I genuinely believe that if Clark had told Lex all of his secrets at any point before season 4, he would have never turned evil. I do feel sorry for Lex b/c he could have had an entirely different outcome. I think Clark misses the old Lex, but he saw him as a lost cause after season 7.
-
@hypnosegirl16 You know what bugged me a lot as well? When Clark would simultaneously judge Lex for keeping secrets from him while lying through his teeth about his own and how everyone around him that knew would forgive and condone and excuse Clark of anything while simultaneously holding every flaw against anyone else.
-
@hypnosegirl16 Isn't it though? I actually feel more for Lex then Clark, the soap opera drama that played out in the show for all of those years, Lex struggling to fight the evil that was in him and Clark trying to fight his ability to do good because he wanted to be a normal farm boy instead, remember when Clark saw inside Lex's mind and saw that he still had Alexander in him, the one who wanted to do good and promised he'd never give up on him, did you ever see him try after?
Best Clex vid I've seen... I haven't been into Clex for awhile ever since Michael Rosenbaum left the show... but had an urge today to look at some videos. Found this one and let me say, you did an amazing job. Their relationship throughout the series was the reason I watched Smallville. Great choice of clips and dialogue!
