To all who make comments about islam and whatever Yusuf said or didn't say about Rushdie: Why does that really have a meaning when it comes to his music? Music is a universal language, and some people have been blessed with the ability to create the most wonderful songs. If all my favourite songs were written by criminals, I still wouldn't be able to dislike the music. This is an amazing song that I love, and what Yusuf Islam does really doesn't interest me at all.

Cat Stevens as I still think of him as has brought me through the hardest times of my life when I was a teenager. His emotions of confusion, love knowledge, and destiny with so much more certainly helped me on my rough journey of a youth. I embraced his music with passion it really filled my quiet unknown corners of my soul. I'm very thankful for his music. May inspirations of life never die...keep it, love it and live it

Still sounding wonderful......YUSUFCatStevens­. The previews of the "Moonshadow" musical cast versions of some of his songs are at present available to listen to via Yusuf/CatStevens Facebook page. The Moonshadow Musical previews at the Princess Theatre, Melbourne, on 20th May,2012, as far as I know..just a couple of days away. The full musical commences on 31stMay,2012...... At Last.......Let's hope a London, England, Theatre offers to take it on in the not too distant future.

That is your opinion that its sad and tragic. He himself has said that what he found after he left mainstream music was much more satisfying and fulfilling for him and brought rest and tranquility to his heart. That's what matters! And his religion doesn't prevent music. It discourages all the other things that accompany a rock star career: drugs, promiscuity, sloth, etc. And btw, he still plays music and sings for a different cause than before, and works for charitable causes.
