@Frejborg Here in Germany you get in even teched to accelerate directly in front of an object. The same goes with cars.
If you are hard on the brakes (especially on a bike) your front will get lower and an object is more likely to get thrown at you instead of just hitting the bike. Also if there is no pressure form braking on the front the bike will go easier over smaller objects.
Always brake as hard as you can and if you are about to hit the object accelerate.

This is exactly how I handle bumps on my bicycle. Been riding a bicycle all my life and I love it! I can't WAIT to get a motorcycle!
Accelerating just before you hit an object or go over a larger bump is a bad idea... the sudden jerk of the bike and the increased speed when you hit it could cause you to lose control. I am pretty sure of this, and I've never even driven a motorcycle. Like people say.. physics are physics.
I'd recommend slowing down as much as possible on a motorcycle before it

I'm new to bike but I don't think this is the best thing to do to drive over object...

Nice safety gear. Jeans and sneakers.

wrong. your supposed to slightly stand up off the seat not that high up. and your supposed to let off of the throttle right when you run it over so it doesn't get kicked up and make your rear tire slip.

This person, clearly, should not be giving advice on how to ride a motorcycle. I've watched most of his videos and 90% of his instructions are incorrect. Sounds to me like he bought a bike, rode for a couple weeks then decided he was good enough to instruct. Seriously, do not take his advice. Go get properly trained and buy full gear prior to operating ANY motorcycle on the street.

@ bluediver2 - what an ignorant thing to say. People who drive motorcycles have to watch out for people like you driving their cars. More than 90% (yes 90%) of motorcycle accidents that involve cars are the fault of car drivers!!! Just cause you car drivers can do more damage to us motorcycle drivers does not give you the right of way. AND, if you hate motorcycles sooo much, why the hell are you watching a motorcyle video???? Classic characteristics of a wanna be

all these devil things do is think about speed fast hurry go faster step on it they are built for that they have nothing else better to do do u drive? if u do try burning your license have a horrible satanmass

@bluediver2 so a car driver has never cut you off? never changed lanes without signaling? and has never shown any behavior that would suggest that he/she believes in his/her mind that they own the road?
are you sure you drive?
You forgot a few things:
a) Just before you hit the object, apply a some throttle to lighten up the front end.
b) After you've run over something, it's a good idea to pull over as soon as it is safe and check to see that your tires and wheels have not been damaged.

Nature of the beast, my friend. But I've heard that a smaller displacement bike, like a 250cc, is a good training bike.
I've been looking at getting a Ninja 250R, when I've got the dough.
