As part of ...HER'S A QUEEN, we will be taking live photos during the show and projecting them in real time on to a huge screen. This is a montage of the shots taken during a rehearsal on August 18, 2009 at Ruby Streak Studios with music from the show's phantom album. HERS A QUEEN is Neal Medlyns fifth pop-star opus and the first installment in a two-part Britney Spears/Hannah Montana extravaganza., built around the idea and music of Britney Spears, purity, and non-sexual touch. Additional items involved include overlapping stories and bears and abstinence and unwashed hair and dance moves and knives and snakes and laptops and cuddle parties and babies. It stars Neal, Carmine Covelli, with Farris Craddock doing live music. It was written with the assistance of Kenny Mellman.
HERS A QUEEN is commissioned by Dance Theater Workshops Commissioning and Creative Residency Program with support from the Jerome Foundation, The Ford Foundation, the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency, the New York State Council on the Arts, the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs, and the Jerome Robbins Foundation.
