At an after-hours meeting, the staff open the department's Suggestion Box, only to find that there are no useful suggestions. They then decide that background music and a recorded store-wide voiceover will boost sales. When cash is offered to do the voiceover, all the floor staff want the recorded voice to be theirs.

  • If you're wanting to sell ladies knickers

    Here's a gimmick that's brimming with fun

    Get Miss Brahms to wear

    A very brief pair

And we'll all have a look at her...one by one

    ;)

  • Shame the very very end got cut off. I watched this on PBS back in the day. Right when the screen was to go dark? You could see 4 fish getting "shot" out of the fountain.

  • Rumbold's secretary looks like a hunchback linebacker in drag. The bitch is ugly.

  • @nakedmambo

and for the record, I admit it is pretty damn unlikely that she said "be-bop" look after all.

as long as it wasnt Bieber look I'm okay with it.

  • @sillybabybunnies That's probably true, I won't argue with you. Though as a recognised term it refers to a specific late '40s early '50s jazz movement. However, you've told me something I didn't know.

  • @nakedmambo The word "bebop" is usually stated to be nonsense syllables (vocables) which were made in scat singing, and is supposed to have been first attested in 1928

  • @yruu113 What usually happens is that Captain Peacock suggests ideas and Rumbold manages to convince himself that they are his ideas.

  • @sillybabybunnies Be-bop is a 1950s jazz term.

  • At first Mr. Rumbold says the fountain was his idea, then Captain Peacock claims it was his...am I just missing something?

  • 20:25 mr. grainger's sleeping again! lol
