Although he doesn't teach any more you can come visit him at my Sensei Duffy's Dojo at www.baysidenykarate.com. Let them know you saw my video work by Mario. oos
I trained in Shotokan when I was young and Miyazaki was my ideal. I always strived to have his incredible even and Full flowing range of movement. Incredible grace and precision. Thank you Miyazaki-san.
Hard to believe! what a glory to see these videos of Sensei Miyazaki, also glad to see that John Duffy has his own school, many times we fought and i still remember the day i was going for my black belt test and he was going for his 2 dan at the Flushing school, nice! very nice! from a very old timer under Sensei Miyazaki and the very first student at the Astoria dojo under Sensei Leung!ooosss!!!
WOW!!!!!!! this video brought back many memories. Some of the best memories in my life. i studied under sensei when he had the dojo in Flushing Queens. He was a true influencial instructor. If you showed dedication and respect for the art, he would take you under his wing. I will never forget the first night he asked me to stay after class. i worked out with some of his best black belts. He would shut the lights off and the A/C. We worked hard. That was the best high you could ever experience.
I was told I am from the Miyazaki lineage of karate, my teachers were G. Aschkar and Patrick Morin of the Kyodai Dojo. I now teach in Miami Florida. Good to finally meet Miyazaki Sensei, even if it is on video. Ossu!
Would be nice to upload full kata - Sensei is the best, and taught the best. Everywhere else I go to observe is so sloppy in comparison!
