First off I would just like to say that I am 16 that this was my grade 10 auto tech year project. I had only been welding for about 2-3 weeks before I started this project. This is my 3 wheeled go-kart. I purchased plans for this cart from spidercarts.com and they have many other simple but awesome plans. I built this in shop class in about 5 months working on it for a bout an hour a day. All of the parts EXCEPT the motor belong to me. The motor in this video is a 6hp, very cheep ($170) Chinese built motor that belongs to my school. The governor we suspect is set at a higher rpm then what the clutch is rated at so the clutch was already engaging before the motor was at ½ choke. Also, the throttle position didnt seem to be having an affect on the rpms. I have an 8hp Honda motor at home that is just having some carb issues and I plan to fix it in the summer. I am anticipating some frame modifications to fit the larger motor, and its a good thing that my uncle has a machine shop. This video is just a couple of ¼ to ½ choke runs around my school bus loop.

*UPDATE*
Thank you everyone for all the views! I just wanted to let everyone know that this project got me a 98% in shop class (highest mark my teacher gives for some reason) and I am receiving an academic award later this month!! Thanks!
