Just to Make Myself Clear... (Pt. 1)

Sorry about the long wait. It's been a few months since I last uploaded a video, I know, so thank you to the people who noticed and kicked me into shape!

So here it is, a new video! This time, I just want to address a few comments I've been receiving, some very valid, relevant comments. But at the same time, I want to stress just how important it is that we acknowledge our faults and make an active effort to improve them. Those faults include our collective views on race. It's one thing to personally transcend racism and say, "I'm color blind!" It's a very different thing to own that while at the same time understanding the reality of today's racial situation: namely that the rest of the world is NOT "colorblind" and that simply ignoring that fact will not help us progress. Ultimately, progression and improvement is our only guarantee of survival, and progression and improvement are impossible without a combined effort: we MUST work TOGETHER to solve the issues of race in this country and around the world.

P.S. The video went very long (I talk a WHOLE LOT) so there's a second part. Also, I'm having trouble with my computer's mic, so it may be a bit quiet. Hopefully simply turning up your volume can solve the problem :-}

MIXooNooMATCH I do know the difference between belief and fact. It is impossible for me to know everyones circumstances so I have to make comments based on what I think is most probable not on what is possible. Experiences and an understanding of people helps me to weigh the pros and cons of what is most likely to be the case.

These possibilities that you deny apply to you parents, could it be that you might be a little bias?

Or, you dont have to say anything. A respectful person would withhold their comments until after theyve learned all the facts. An opinion based on nothing but your own experiences isnt worth much, especially when that opinion concerns others besides yourself. You can have all the opinions in the world, but dont tell me your opinion on ME and expect me to accept it as fair and true, because I KNOW a bit more about myself than you BELIEVE you know about me.

@MIXooNooMATCH Univ. of Pitts, nice and congratulations. I know I'm months late on that, lol. Hey listen, don't get too caught up in vids cause your educational gig is obviously more important. However, I do agree with you when you say that race is relevant and I would be living in a fairyland if I didn't think so. It takes so much inner strength to preserve the heart and mindset that you have about race because we all know the world isn't such a nice place at times.
