im so sick of this country!In many parts of the world women with curves are appricated and loved. Old primative figures of fertility goddess were always fulll figured because then that means u have enuf fat to sustain and nourish a baby. This country is so based on what u look like and not who u are as a human being, it is so pathitic that this is what we have come too!

@sandyski100 I totally agree. The minute I turn 18 will be the greatest day of my life because I intend to move away from here for good. I can't stand it. Self-image is somewhat important. I mean, you gotta take care of yourself. But the fact that kids are starving themselves....that shows that we have a serious problem.

I've dealt with eating disorders for about 7 1/2 years and would never wish it on anyone. I feel so much empathy for anyone struggling, regardless of age, and it breaks my heart that people are struggling at younger and younger ages these days.

when i was 10 i was afraid of becoming fat ... i don't see that as strange ... it wasn't on my mind all the time, but if someone asked me if i was i would have said yes!

This is sick... When I was nine I tried to starve myself, and I still struggle with my self-image... I'm sick and tired of the constant pressure to be perfect...
