  • @apc1no This is a modern bassoon, german system for sure. If it is Popov playing he plays a Puchner, like killersax said. And, if you allow me to say, this sound cannot pass by either the French bassoon nor the baroque bassoon. This instrument is, without any doubt, a modern german system bassoon.

  • It's not a Heckel. Popov plays a Puchner.

  • @apc1no

Familiarise yourself with the sound you are hearing in this recording because the is how a Heckel should sound like.

  • Very nice! I have another version, but all of them are beautiful!

  • Does anyone know if this was performed on a baroque bassoon or was it a French bassoon? I'm not really familiar with either but it sure doesn't sound like a modern Heckel-system bassoon and using period instruments would make a lot of sense.

  • i love this

  • Vivaldi is the man! xD

  • Wonderful.
