On Monday CWA delegates committed their energy and resources and pledged to work "as never before" to elect Senator Barack Obama for President of the United States.
While John McCain and Barack Obama are both good men, Senator Obama offers the best opportunity to transform our country's political landscape and restore the rights, dignity and financial security of American workers and their families.
Senator Obama has made clear his commitment to CWA's four key issues -- the Employee Free Choice Act, universal health care, fair trade and good jobs, and financial security for retirees -- and he has proven his ability to energize millions of people across the country, unite voters across party lines and bring many new people into the political process.

Many of our members have told us of the respect they have for John McCain's service to our country, and I share in that respect. But when it comes to the issues most important to working families, the differences between Senator Obama and Senator McCain couldn't be clearer.
Senator Obama has pledged to support and sign the Employee Free Choice Act, strengthening the ability of unions to organize workers. John McCain opposes this legislation.
Senator Obama has put forth a health care plan that would lower costs and help millions of uninsured Americans get coverage. John McCain's health care proposal would make a bad situation worse, weakening the employer-based insurance system and forcing millions to seek coverage on their own in the private market.
Senator Obama offers fair trade and economic policies that would strengthen the middle class, invest in good American jobs, and help millions realize the American dream. John McCain's economic proposals are more of the same -- tax cuts for the wealthy and unqualified support for trade agreements that hurt American workers.
Finally, Senator Obama is committed to guaranteeing the solvency of Social Security, while John McCain has proposed privatizing the Social Security system.

At the CWA convention Barack Obama had this to say:
Change is having a President who's been an organizer... and who lets unions do what they do best and organize our workers. That's what change is and that's the choice in this election.
In November the American people will choose between the failed policies of the past and new ideas for the future. We at CWA will work tirelessly to ensure our country makes the right choice and elects Barack Obama the next President of the United States.
In Solidarity,
Larry Cohen

Well can you answer those questions. US is in debt and still has one of the biggest military's in the wprrld even when they are always put in danger due to wreckless occupational foreign policy that has served only to antagonise other nations and backfire on nationa security.
So why is Obama who campaigned as an anti war candidate going to increase military spending which is the exact same polcy as McCain. Conservative independents and liberals all are against that policy.

Tell that to the media that openly imposes Obama and McCain on the public 24/7.
So just like the Ron Paul supporters we have to create an online grassroots movement to allow our candidate to get coverage. All we have and I'm grateful for it is youtube.
Let Nader debate, let Nader be on the ballot (we have to petition to get him on the ballot, whereas Obama and McCain automatically are on the ballot. Yet another unfair obstacle that Nader supporters need to be aware of)

Ralph Nader's challenge to Obama on substative issues.Answer 3 questions on his website:
"One, why don't you support single payer national health insurance, which is supported by a majority of doctors and the American people?
Two, why do you favor expanding the military budget which is replete with waste, fraud and abuse?
And three, why don't you come out and support an immediate increase of the minimum wage to $10 an hour?
When can we expect the authenticity of hope and change?"
