ASSEMBLED BY A WORLD TRAVELLER Displaying a highly useful world collection of 19th century to 1920's material, plus the odd later addition; assembled by a well travelled collector with some pages displaying notes such as Austria stamps "bought in Austria in March 1908" through to the Uruguay "bought in Montevideo March 1910" etc; so much of interest in here incl. some loose items tucked between the pages; we note the Europe section with Austria from classic imperfs, Belgium from 1849 20c (fine with four margins), Denmark from imperfs, France with good mint Merson and Sower issues to 1f, Germany with 1872 10g and 30g mint, Gibraltar 1904-08 to 1s and 2s mint, Great Britain from 1840 1d black, 1883-84 1s cds with good colour, 1887-1900 Jubilee complete set to 1s green/carmine mint, Netherlands, Hungary with c. 1909 set to 5k mint, Italy with Definitive values to 5L mint (2 diff), Malta "bought in Malta 1909" with 1904 to 5d vermilion and 1s grey/violet mint, Monaco to Albert 5f cds used, Norway range of mint Posthorns, 1905 1k on 2s and 1.50 on 2s mint, Portugal 1910 set mint, Sweden with some nice cds examples, Switzerland with better mint to 5f; then Asian countries with better Ceylon with QV to 2r 50 used, a wonderful lot of earlier CHINA issues incl. Chefoo and Shanghai local posts mint etc; Hong Kong, India from 1854 imperfs and States, Japan, THAILAND with 1887-91 to 64a mint plus postal stationery items, Malayan areas; then African area with Azores, Egypt again with postal stationery, German East Africa useful mint, British Colonials; The Americas with strong USA to many better values, Canada with QV to 20c mint, and West Indies, Latin countries; followed by Australasia incl. Victoria postal stationery cancelled to order, and so much else; some mixed condition and this well travelled album has taken a bashing over the years, but all in all a most exciting old timer with huge catalogue value. (Approx 3500 stamps).
