  • why everybody refers to "a clockwork orange" instead of admiring the greatness of purcell's music

  • @Enzoclips Referring to that movie does't mean not respecting Purcell's work of art :}

    It's just a means to express that A Clockwork Orange is just a very brilliant movie,

    and the musical piece accompanies it so extremely well that the two are automatically linked. Which really is a big compliment to both masterpieces.

  • @AllGamesNow Viddy well little brother, viddy well.

  • am i the only one here because of conkers bad fur day

  • "A Clockwork Orange" did more to popularize baroque and classical music than a thousand "serious" documentaries or televised or recorded baroque and classical concerts. Well may we say, "O my brothers and only friends..."

  • I start to like this weird sound. Blame for "A clockwork orange".

  • Sir: I too was listening to this on WKCR while on my way to Waashington DC, on the Jersey Turnpike. My sentiments were the same as yours. I thought of a loved one whom I've lost. Very powerful music indeed.

  • This morning driving up the Van Wyck (NYC) expressway, listening to WKCR, while in a traffic jam, I heard this recording...turned up the volume...and wanted to reach out and ,,get a glass of milk...no no,,I was overwhelmed by the pulsating percussive lugubrious cadence, I wanted to blow my horn..honk it loud...but reverently i cried and became part of this critique of the end of ones existence..and.. I am happy say that I found this on youtube and my enjoyment continues.,.happy new year.

  • @lrdplyr You want to hear about my boner? You gotta message me for that kind of stuff big guy lol. Kubrick was particular to every detail of his movies. This is a cool piece of music, but fuck Queen Mary and Purcell. You're a douchebag if you think that i didnt "get the movie" because i have an outlandishly aggressive manor of speaking.

  • @ohgr919 Oh, and who or what is a Percell? If you love the movie, then you must love it's director, Stanley Kubrick. Kubrick did not take music lightly in his films. Would you say "Fuck Strauss (from 2001) and Beethoven (from Clockwork)" and talk about your "boner" some more as well? You're just filth, truly. I will continue to enjoy the film you obviously never understood.

  • @lrdplyr As is true for every human. but you, lifeless, void, and obviously far too emotional should not have agreed with me on enjoying the film. You've successfully ruined my favorite movie. Congratulations on having the highest impact you may ever know in your pointless life. My anti-human intellect is no longer to be wasted on a mass of human filth such as yourself.

  • @ohgr919 You are an irrelevant person. Your existence is meaningless. For the love of Christ Almighty, beg forgiveness for the food you've wasted sustaining your pathetic body. I, too, love the movie, but you are a non-person bag of shit.
