I think they are saying Daniel ( Hale ) Williams. who performed the first successful open heart surgury.

I used to sing this song in the choir (BCH) You can clearly hear the words but it was an honor even to learn this song. I was so excited when i did.

i saw the boys choir of Harlem perform in Cerritos, CA in 1994/1995...i was 6 years old and still remember the performance. this CD was constantly playing in my house growing up. timeless classic

I remember us performing this when I was int he 6th grade!! My teacher had to give me the title and name of it because I forgot but I remember!!! Wow!!!

Thank you thank you thank you sooo much!!! My only question now is, who is the "hero" quoted before Martin Luther King...Sounds like they're saying Daniel Williams, but when I googled the name, there was nothing indicating that there was an important figure by that name...? Thx again
