If You Only Knew chapter 13

Tori: I'm just going to go see... uhh.. something...... *runs off*
Wonder what she saw that made her run so fast?
**End POV**

**Tori's POV**
Jayme: Oh I think Taylor wants to congratulate her
Sara: *giggles*
I glanced into the auditorium as we passed and saw something that shocked me. "I'm just going to go see... uhh... something......" And I ran for the front doors. I rushed through the hallways and stopped outside the auditorium. I took a deep breath and pushed the door open slightly. I squeezed in and hurried down the isles. "What are you doing here?"
Kevin: *turns in surprise* Tori?
Joe: *looks over* Tori??
Katie: Who's Tori?
Joe: She's with Kevin I guess.... *grins at Kevin*
Kevin: *smacks Joe's arms* What are you doing here Tori?
"Wondering what you three are doing here!"
Kevin: Our mom wanted us to try for the play.
"What parts?"
Kevin: We are going to try for the leads, and be happy when we get something lesser.
"I hope you get the major part" I said quietly, trying not to disrupt the people who were on stage now.
Kevin: Yeah.. it would be cool I suppose
"Well I'm hoping to get a lead role.." I said
Kevin: *smiles* That would make me having the lead role that much better.
Nick: Will you too quit flirting long enough for us to try out?
Joe: *smacks Nick's shoulder* Quit it
Nick: Whatever.
They walked up and I took Kevin's seat. I leaned over to Katie. "You're Joe's girl?"
Katie: *beams* Yeah.
"He been being a jerk to you?"
Katie: He used to be well.. not a jerk exactly.. but... not all that great. Like the only thing on his mind was making out all the time.
"How come you stayed with him then?"
Katie: *sighs* I like him so much.
"You said used to be.... is he not like that anymore?"
Katie: *smile widens* He's been being the absolute sweetest boy ever since this morning. I don't know what changed, but he suddenly cares about ME instead of my body. It's wonderful.
"That's wonderful!" I said, smiling. So Joe had gone back to being sweet, just like Kevin. What about Nick though? "You're Nick's girl then?" I said to the girl on the other side of Katie.
Bridgite: I prefer to be called Bridgite.... that's my name.
"Sorry Bridgite, I'll remember that" She sounded as if she was annoyed at us being happy about our boys. I took that as confirmation that Nick was still putting on his whole bad boy act.
Katie: *whispers to me* She's jealous that Kevin and Joe went all sweet.
"Oh" I said before turning to watch them audition. They were REALLY good. I waited patiently for them to finish.
Kevin: *smiles at me* How'd we do?
"You were wonderful" I said. "So were you two!" I said to Joe and Nick
Joe: *smiles* Thanks Tori. What do YOU think Katie?
Katie: If you don't get those parts it'll be a crime.
Joe: *kisses her lightly*
Bridgite: Nick you were absolutely brilliant! I didn't know how well you could act.
She was talking brightly, as if trying to coax a smile out of him. He still looked moody and didn't smile a bit.
Nick: Thanks
"What's with him?" I asked Kevin and Joe as they escorted me and Katie out of the auditorium.
Kevin: He's always so grumpy
Joe: Like nothing can cheer him up
Kevin: I'm worried he's going to ruin whatever he has with Bridgite.
Katie: I'm sure he'll get over it soon
"I sure hope he does" I added. Poor Bridgite. Maybe I could help her to cheer him up. She deserved better than he was giving her. Oh wait... better idea! Oh I hope it works!!!!!
