You don't sound like the classic "Texas ranch girl" that Midwesterns expect you to sound like. My gym teacher, supposedly from Texas, has a legit "wake up and smell the coffee" Texas accent.
Your proper British one is your best.

@marielle019 Yeah, I'm not too good at texan accents because I was raised in California. I'm taking a dialects class this next semester at my school and I'm psyched! I can't believe you had snow so late. We got another 6 inches the last day of my spring break which was May 20-something. That was pretty crazy!
Thank you for telling me I'm like Emma from Glee, I really wanted to audition for Glee but I got nervous.
