New Ultra-Thin 15 & 17 Inch MacBook Pros Coming by Christmas?

The MacBook Pros haven't gotten a cosmetic redesign in several years, and after the release of the MacBook Airs, they are looking quite archaic. Today details of brand new ultra-thin MacBook Pros hit the internet and are supposed to launch by Christmas of this year. Will they have an Optical CD drive? Will they all have SSDs by default? I don't think they're going to get rid of the 13" Macbook Pro... it's their highest selling model. I think they're going to combine the 13" Macbook Air with the 13" Macbook Pro since they'll essentially be the same thing sleekness-wise, and just add them all to the same Pro line.

In any case, the new 15/17" will probably be lighter than the 13" is now...

Rumor has it that Ivy Bridges aren't coming out until March/April 2012 at the earliest.. I think you were a tad optimistic when you made this video 6 months and expected Ivy Bridges to be released by Christmas.

it makes sense not to have a 13" screen? in my opinion that's a stupid idea. the 13" is for people who want a cross between portable and power, someone who doesn't want to lug about a 15" laptop but doesn't want to lug about a 13" under powered netbook...also its cheaper
