Roy Buchannon who new a thing or two about guitar said he was one of the best. Gary Davis always put Fuller down but his playing could be very sloppy and scratch sounding...not when he was younger though.

He is the solidest best all around player of blues--including RJ, Lemon, Blake, because the perfect consistency and perfect time, near perfect executionetc. THis man earned his money, no nonsense. He knew his audience perfectly.
