If you're a fan of Britain's beloved, classic comedies from the Ealing Studios in London, here is a chance to revisit a few of THE LADYKILLERS' distinct filming locations. A lot has happened since its filming in 1955 but, as we discovered, the basic "location" is an illusion of montage in itself...

  • Yes, I recall seeing these distinct features around the film, in the scenes recorded in tghe vicinity of Kings Cross/St Pancras... Go get the movie, by the way! It's such a classic.

  • All the music is borrowed from the lovely Silva Screen Records modern recording of the Ladykillers' score. Get it on CD, it's a gem!

  • Hey there! Thx for posting reply - the first as I recall to this location video! Jan (who's hosting the clip) and I had plans to go visit Ealing but it didn't happen in the few days we had. When were you there, shooting the video? *S*

  • Was there a scene in the film showing the gasometers at the back of kings Cross/St Pancras? These used to be a real landmark coming into the stations from the north, but I believe they have been demolished now?

  • Whats the music at the very end of your video because I have been trying to track it down, At the start of the movie you hear the music when mrs wilberforce come out of her house and you hear same music peace when she leaves the police office/station at the end of the movie :D

  • Brilliant, thank you !

  • wow great video! and great film too. I managed to get into Ealing Studios once (where I guess the interiors to this film were shot). I was shooting a corporate video in the college literally next door to the studio (Hammersmith College). On mine and my shooting partner we're on our lunch break we headed to the studio gates, only to find they were open, and got in! Moseyed around for half an hour or so, nobody said a thing. Anyway thought id share that, this is a great video, nice work guys! :-)
