FATHER DICK SULLIVAN is the pastor of St. Michael Parish in the Catholic Archdiocese of Louisville. He has worked to end the use of the death penalty and to help his childhood classmate and friend, Frank Tamme, show that he was wrongfully convicted of the two murders that led him to death row. A judge granted him a new trial, but before it could take place he died in prison of hepatitis.
Thank you so much for sharing the story about your friend, you are so right about it being a moral issue and more understanding of what the DP IS and what it actually causes to so many people emotionally is needed. Your friends story was very touching to my heart and I thank you for taking the time to share your experience with the DP here in Kentucky. Thank you again!
