After her unexpected capture by HARM forces, Cate Archer escapes the Manhandler trap and makes good on her exodus. But before she can extricate herself from HARM's secret underground headquarters, two of the Director's lieutenants would like a word with her....

Dmitrij Volkov is the first boss battle. Fighting him on the catwalks is needlessly difficult; At some point you're bound to stumble into a rock or a guardrail, making you easy prey for Volkov's rockets. Instead, go back and ambush him as soon as he rolls out of the elevator. There, you'll have much more room to jump, maneuver and dodge Volkov's slow-traveling rockets while hosing him down with the Gordon; Be sure to max out your 9mm ammo beforehand.

Isako is the second boss battle. As suggested by a spot-on grenade burst in my first video with Isako ("Ninja Tornado Battle!"), Isako seems to have an uncanny resistance to explosions; It takes nothing less than three rockets, one or two close-proximity grenade bursts and a handful of explosive shotgun shells to bring her down. Maybe part of Advanced Ninja Training 101 involves turning one's skin into ablative armor or something.

  • As I remember, though, the joke was that was that the fake lava's temperature is listed in Kelvin, and it sounds impressive if you're thinking in terms of Fahrenheit, but the fake lava's actually not all that hot if you're familiar with Kelvin. I don't recall what number the Intelligence actually said, but it couldn't have been too hot; Fahrenheit overtakes Kelvin somewhere around 575 F / 574.82 K.

Yeah, something like that. Must have been in the hundreds. Who here remembers that document?

  • Actually, IIRC, the end of Contract JACK ends with John Jack dying, but not before he gets to Dmitri's skis and sabotages them. Contract JACK takes place between NOLF and NOLF2. Aside from getting shot up and falling into an ice chasm, he was okay at the end of NOLF. But in NOLF2, there's Intelligence about him having a skiing accident where his skis failed, he went off a cliff and landed on a little girl, and he ended up in a body cast because of that accident.

    So orlnl would be correct.

  • @BloodyBay The Kelvin scale is not in the thousands. Zero Kelvin is minus 273 degrees Centrigrade thus a temperature in the thousands Kelvin is also in the thousands degrees Centrigrade. Just to let you know......
