  • @kpharris32 Lets just see who you go looking for after and EMP burst, earthquake that pulls apart your fiber optics or other disaster Your cell phones and internet will be dead. Radio will still be working and you will be begging those ham operators to get a message through to someone you love. Where will your 952 GigaFlops be then?

  • Well, I don't understand using RF at all. It is broadcast, not cogent stream, so this might've been cool in the 50's, it went out with nehru jackets. Second of all, if you used internet, you can encrypt everything beyond recognition. (Duh) Third, if ham wasn't just a function of your own pathetic self-validation, You'd know what I was talking about. We got 952 GigaFlops and $30. internet up in here....I still can't use it all, but when I do, I'll ham it up wit' the crazies.

  • @d1g1man and why should it be?? weather it's a damn cCB Radio or Ham Radio it's all about talking to whom ever you want to and how far you can talk to. it's all the same hobby to me.

  • All those guys are complete idiots!! @ coheher - I agree!! Mark my words if I ever got the chance to see how big of balls they supposedly have off the radio I'd take the opportunity to smack the shit outta very single one of them. I think that's what they need to bring them back down to earth.

  • 147.435MHZ gots some freakos too. And they get low down nasty at times :)

  • 14.315MHz - Never a dull moment.

But without kidding, the rif-raf at that frequency should be ASHAMED of itself. North American hams at their worst, for the whole world to hear. The US is taking that 1st amendment right way too far. Scum like these should immediately get their ham licenses revoked forever. It is a mystery to me why the FCC does not act upon this, because all the offender's callsigns are known. It probably is indicative of US society as a whole going down the tubes rapidly.

  • another radio rambo! I love it!

  • Hams fight all the time. It's educational and occasionally fun. The guys you are listening too are the most whacked out bunch on ham radio in the USA and Canada.

I think they are using USB 14.313 now. The whole bunch, two opposing factions, like democrats and republicans, would not be able to live life without each other. They do this daily and I think most just have fun with it. Like I said, one group would have no life without the other.

  • they're still at it on that exact freq. I guess some people never grow up.

  • hah you guys haven't heard anything ! if you guys can only hear the radio fights on the repeaters in new york city, it would make your jaw drop.
