Very quiet background level! I have had my Yaesu FT-950 for over a year now and have been very happy with it. Wait till 10 meters opens up during the peak of this sunspot cycle and you will hear European stations booming in during the morning hours and The South Pacific and Australia as well as Japan in the late afternoon and evenings!

Dear OM Nice video. Thinking of moving from FT1000MP to the 950, Can you tell me if when working split, you can hear both channels when pressing TXW??
The MP gives both channels as 'stereo' in a pile-up.

Very ,very nice radio you have there,...I have the same model. Mine is not hooked up yet because I am getting ready to move soon. Hope to get it on the air after my move to new QTH and start making some QSOs!
