A giant among allrounders, Imran Khan is indisputably the greatest cricketer to emerge from Pakistan, and arguably the world's second best allrounder after Sir Garfield Sobers. In his last 10 years of international cricket he played 51 Tests, averaging a sensational 50 with the bat and 19 with the ball. Imran achieved the all-rounder's triple (securing 3000 runs and 300 wickets) in 75 Tests, the second fastest record behind Ian Botham's 72. He is also established as having the second highest ALL-TIME batting average of 61.86 for a Test batsman playing at position 6 of the batting order. He played his last Test match for Pakistan in January 1992, against Sri Lanka at Faisalabad. Imran retired permanently from cricket six months after his last ODI, the historic 1992 World Cup final against England at Melbourne, Australia. He ended his career with 88 Test matches, 126 innings and scored 3807 runs at an average of 37.69, including six centuries and 18 fifties. His highest score was 136 runs. As a bowler, he took 362 wickets in Test cricket, which made him the first Pakistani and world's fourth bowler to do so. In ODIs, he played 175 matches and scored 3709 runs at an average of 33.41. His highest score remains 102 not out. His best ODI bowling is documented at 6 wickets for 14 runs.

  • @molvicorleone No, not really. A lot of people factor in Shoaib's off the field issues when judging him as a bowler. Considering that he managed to play 50 odd tests and 180 something ODIs with that paper mache body of his and ended up with test and ODI averages of 25 and 24 speaks volumes about the man's commitment.

  • @vaadaenmacchi Imran, Waqar, Wasim and then Shoaib. I say this as a Pakistani. Wasim, for all his talent, skill and subtle little nuances simply wasn't a match for the monstrosity, the behemoth that was Waqar Younis.

  • @molvicorleone what he said in his book was definitely harami. he had the talent but was too prone to injuries

  • @vaadaenmacchi to mention shoaib in the same breath as the previous 3 is downright haram bro.

  • Imran Khan the legend..... their is no one like him and never will be!

  • imran khan greatest

  • Not one of the greatest, The Greatest.

  • best of the best :)
